The Job Frustration !

There have been significant developments of worst nature at work place.

I was assigned as a Project Manager for a Project in Dubai, which I was supposed to go for in some time. Thanks to my boss, (A nice guy, who always assisted me). But there are goons around who wanted me to take care of there so called Proposals and Pre-sales in India.

So for some projects most of which would not even come to the home field, I was removed from an active and challenging assignment.

Today is perhaps the most frustrating days of my career. I have seen politics at various levels right from being a CEO of a Small company to an Engineer in a Big one. But this experience of being a small man in a small company is very bad.

The worst resource management example of my present company is standing tall with a senior resource like me wasting his time doing nothing & walking out of meetings in anger.

So all you guys around, be careful about joining small time Indian companies. Always remember our own people are the biggest problem, not the client, not the Business engagement neither the challenges which seem impossible, but the people around us.

Yet again !

I have been going through a tough time lately. At work and personal front. So the delay in posts.
I see the things settling soon, btw, joined a gym and workout spirit just started.

The unfortunate part is that will have to travel to Bangalore some time next week for a week, and then to Dubai on an assignment once I get my new passport. Hopefully the trip should be short and sweet.

I always wanted to go to Bangalore for a week's time so that I can catchup with few old friends, this is just the right assignment I am getting into. A week in Bangalore, followed by a month (or more?) in Dubai.

In God we trust. (Just felt like writing this donno why !)

Benching and Accident !

My car met with an accident, the credit goes to the classic auto drivers of Hyderabad.

Benching and having met with an accident can be frustrating. Hoping to get my passport issue fixed so that I can be back in action..

The wait continues. Good part being I can focus on building my jeep. Then would see which auto guy dares to scratch me ;)

Eat Sleep Jeep !

Had made couple of rounds to Bahadurpura, where my jeep is being built.

I could feel the machine taking the shape, when I touched her last time. It was as if, she was waiting to hit the road and run like a crazy horse.

The workshop guy told me to decide on the paint, after a long discussion and seeing quite a few pics, we decided on Red and Black combination. Hopefully the machine will hit the road sometime next week.

Have some performance mods pending, see around this space for the pics.

Old Friends New Place !

Haan ! If there was something missing in my consulting career at my new work place, it was the crude and raw fun.

Thanks to Pranav and Chaithu, the guys chose to join my work place. Today was my first day at work after returning back to India, and I find these two 'ahem' fine gentlemen, meeting me up here.

The series of hugs, kicks and punches, followed by long laughs over the breakfast and lunch made my day. I just feel being home after 8 months with the guys around. The last team I worked @ Oracle was one of the finest. It was like friends working together and not people working together becoming friends later.

It made all the difference, Herculean tasks and a stupid manager, didn't seem to matter at all.

Just a passing thought, Occasional stupidity is acceptable in the world we live, but a consistent performance makes a Skumar D. (guys who know, might have got it;))

Whats in name?

Shakespere, would be shaken if he understands the meaning of this.
